Nothing Bundt Cakes
Two for one bundtlets! Cakes from Nothing Bundt Cakes come in a range of sizes from teeny “bundtinis,” to single serving “bundtlets,” and full size cakes fit for a crowd. Regardless of the size, cakes are perfectly moist, available in a variety of flavors, and drizzled in their signature, not-too-sweet cream cheese frosting. With lots of flavor options like lemon, carrot, red velvet, pumpkinspice and white chocolate raspberry, they’re crowd-pleasing dessert options at reasonable prices. Mike & Patty's at Flourhouse Bakery
This little bakery in Nonantum is down a little alley off Adams Street and, if not paying attention, you could easily walk right by its storefront, adorned with an abundant spray of pink flowers. Every item at Flourhouse is baked from scratch—from its Best of Boston breakfast sandwiches, to its over-the-top twice-baked almond croissants, Nutella cruffins, chocolate chunk cookies, and more. Oh, and Flourhouse's English muffins are vegan, with a cult-like following that purchases them in bulk so they're always on hand. Open Wednesday-Sunday 8-1:30.

Bettina's Bakery
For those who love seasonal, freshly baked pies, Bettina's Bakery in Newton Upper Falls should be one of your first stops on the Crawl. Among their other offerings, the bakery will have smaller sized apple, blueberry and pumpkin pies, making it easy to bring home and sample a variety. During the Crawl, Bettina's will offer $3 off any bakery purchases over $15. On Saturday morning you can also pick up floral bouquets at Bettina's from Lotus & Lettuce. Mon-Fri: 7-3; Sat: 8-3.

The Icing on the Cake
Dig into the Bakery Crawl Grab Bag for discounts, specials, and other fun things! The Icing on the Cake is participating in the Crawl on SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 30 FROM 10-2, and is a must for cupcake lovers. Except for the cupcakes, all of the cakes at this bakery are custom, with wedding cakes a specialty. BUT on Fridays and Saturdays, this bakery has cupcakes on a first come first served basis, and in-the-know locals flock to pick up these perfectly executed crowd pleasers--with just the right cake:frosting ratio. Open 9-5 Tuesday- Friday and 10-2 on Saturday.

Country Desserts

Located on well-trafficked Lexington Street between Newton and Waltham, you may just drive by this little bakery without noticing it--and that would be a big mistake. Since 1995, owner Nancy McCarthy's scratch-made muffins have earned her a reputation as Newton's must-stop muffin shop. But the baked goods here go well beyond muffins—cookies, cupcakes, custom cakes, fruit turn-overs and more are some of the best in Newton. Mon-Fri: 6:30-2; Sat: 6:30-1.

Blacker's Bakeshop
A sampler bag of cookies for just $2? Count us in! The only nut-free, dairy-free, and kosher pareve bakery in Newton, Blacker's is an all around favorite for those with or without special diets. It's participating in the Crawl on Friday, September 30th, and is open from 10-3. Closed on Saturdays. Breadsong Bakery

The only nut-free, dairy-free, and kosher pareve bakery in Newton, Blacker's is an all around favorite for those with or without special diets.
