For those who love hand-wrought crafts, Artitudes is like a candy store, brimming with colorful, American-made works.  From hairclips to jewelry, clothing, and homewares you'll be able to purchase gifts for everyone on your list.  Everyone who stops in the shop gets a free mini pewter ornament (until they run out), and a chance to win a $100 gift certificate.

Have little ones in your life?  West Newton Square's newest merchant, Baby Koo has everything you need strollers, to furniture, clothing and toys.  And, during the Stroll they will offer a 10% discount on all toys and clothing.

Guest artist Tasha Chemel will set up shop at HipStitch with her collection of winter white pottery, some with flecks of gold.  She will also have a couple of her much-sought-after braille mugs, but these will undoubtedly go quickly, so arrive early.  Blind since birth, Tasha's beautiful creations reflect her unique relationship with clay to express her creativity. 11 AM -  2PM

It may not be the season for biking but with Harris Cyclery's sale it's definitely the right time to purchase a bike for the holidays. Stop in, pick up a candy cane, and see their collection of bicycles for riders of all ages.

How cool are these? Bring your children to HipStitch to create a Frozen II character mask or other holiday craft. Open for holiday crafting from

11 AM - 2 PM.

Joanne Langione Dance Center, tucked away on Border Street, is playing a key role in the Stroll  by leading the Frozen sing-along at West Newton Cinema and, through their connections, bringing Elsa and Anna to the theater to meet movie-goers.

Judith's Kitchen not only dishes out great food, it has an extensive wine collection too. Join purveyor Jonathan Kalish for a wine tasting from 2 - 4 pm this Saturday. He'll be sharing several versatile wines for the holidays at really reasonable prices.

Hair salon Louis DuGal will host a count the Teddy Bears Contest, with a toy for the lucky winner. They’ll also be serving up soft drinks, holiday snacks, and discount gift cards for hair services.

Pull on that ugly holiday sweater and head over to Paddy’s for their annual ugly sweater contest. Special kudos to sweaters that light up, jingle, or play carols! Have lunch, a pint, and listen to live music by Matt Bourdeau from 12 -3 while you show off your holiday colors. Contest winners get a Paddy’s gift card!

The artists of Paper Mouse are a hugely talented group and it's no wonder their store is packed with shoppers during their annual holiday sale.  Stop in and purchase original works of art from the artists who created them!

From 11 - 2, Marty Mundy of Seacoast Cheese Maven will sample and sell her extraordinary cheeses at local favorite Judith’s Kitchen. A former cheese maker, Marty works with small farms throughout New England, and selects the best cheeses made from cow, sheep and goat milk. She then sells them at farmers' markets and other pop up venues.

Marty's business increases the profitability of these small farms and puts their extraordinary handmade cheeses on the plates of New Englanders far and wide. If you have not yet tried cheeses from the Seacoast Cheese Maven, you're in for a real treat!

Simple Sips fresh cocktail mixes have stormed onto the local food scene, introducing a new generation of mixers. These fresh, natural blends can be used to make out-of-this-world cocktails or mocktails. Come to Hillman Homes and taste what the buzz is all about!

Do you want some holiday photos of your pup? Are you thinking of adopting a dog? Survivor Tails Animal Rescue has festive props for dressing up your pup and then snapping fun holiday photos. They will also share information about their adoption organization, dogs coming up for adoption, and their adoption process. They will be in the plaza outside Sweet Tomatoes from

12-3 PM.

Stop into Sweet Tomatoes and play their guess how many in the jar game, and stay for complimentary cider and holiday cookies. The winner gets a Sweet Tomatoes gift card!

#1 local craft chocolate maker, Tick Tock Chocolates, is sampling and selling their fabulous chocolates at Hillman Homes Realty, a couple of doors down from Judith's Kitchen.  They're perfect for holiday presents or to treat yourself! Start your stroll here, and make your way down Washington Street so you don't miss a thing!

From 11AM-1 PM visit with Santa at Captain Ryan Park and bring an unwrapped toy to benefit The Village Bank / City of Newton Holiday Gift Drive.

Frozen II is showing at 1:15 PM this Saturday, but you'll want to arrive early because Elsa is arriving at 12:45 PM for photos and Anna will be there shortly afterwards. The Joanne Langione Dance Center will lead a sing-along right before the movie to get everyone in the Frozen II mood.

There are three churches in the neighborhood, all running Holiday Fairs on Saturday! Visit FUUSN’s Holiday Fair where you’ll find treasures including handmade gifts, toys, jewelry, collectibles, baked goods, jams, books, decorated wreaths, ornaments & trees. Pick up some homemade soup for lunch, listen to holiday music, and participate in the silent auction. The Corpus Christi-St. Bernard Poinsettia Festival has gifts galore, and Second Church has its Holiday Fair too!
