Here you’ll find diners sitting down for breakfast and lunch, enjoying conchas, cubanos, horchata, streuselkuchen, and schnitzel along with their turkey sandwiches and salads. Blacker's Bakeshop

543 Comm Ave., Newton Centre

Cookie Sampler Bags

Blacker’s Bakeshop is ready to show off its recent glow up during this year’s Bakery Crawl. This nut-free, dairy-free, and kosher pareve bakery is a local favorite for those with or without special diets. And during the High Holidays, well, it just may be the busiest bakery in the city. Known for traditional items that recall childhood memories like hostess-style cupcakes, half moons, rugelach, and custom cakes, Blackers’ bakers are always testing and adding new items to their menu, like their popular cookie cups and savory pizza buns. Stop at Blackers on Friday, September 26th for one of their value-priced cookie sampler bags. You just may want to make it your first stop on the Crawl, because their cookie bags always sell out early and Blacker is closed on Saturdays. Tues-Thurs: 8:30-5; Fri: 8:30-4; Sun: 10-2.
