Don’t mistake brand new Nonantum Press Room for just another sandwich shop. This is owner and Chef Jim Donovan’s 6th restaurant, and he has poured his heart and culinary talents into this new takeout spot on Adams Street, with results worthy of a special trip. Here, Chef Donovan makes everything from scratch, from roasting sirloin for “Don Sirlione” paninis, to making roasted garlic aioli for the “Fiery Melanzane” (Eggplant) panini, and crafting all of the flavorful dressings, pickles, peppers and condiments that top paninis, cold sandwiches, and oversized ready-to-go salads. Chef Donovan’s attention to detail and use of top quality, fresh ingredients, including locally made bread, take his menu to the next level, making the Press Room a must-visit destination for take-out gourmet sandwiches and more for lunch and dinner.
