For those who prefer fresh, grown-in-Massachusetts produce for Thanksgiving, Mass Food Delivery is delivering Holiday Produce Boxes to Newton, stuffed with fresh vegetables from Hadley MA’s Joe Czajkowski Farm. Boxes are $40 each and contain: 5 lbs of onions; 5 lbs of chef potatoes; 5 lbs of sweet potatoes; 2 lbs of carrots; and 1 butternut squash. Boxes can be picked up at The Newton Thanksgiving Market at the Allen Centre on Tues, Nov 22 for a reduced delivery fee, or dropped off on Newton doorsteps for $12.50. (SNAP/HIP shoppers get free doorstep delivery.) All Boxes must be ordered by November 17th. In addition to the boxes, Mass Food Delivery has lots of locally grown and raised food for home delivery. Well, this Nonantum caterer brings its same comfort cooking to Thanksgiving, and is offering take and heat Thanksgiving feasts for pick up on Wednesday, November 23 in its Nonantum kitchen. If you've been missing Newton's Farmers' Market vendors, well, you're in luck, because they're returning with your favorite products just in time for Thanksgiving on Tuesday, November 22 at West Newton's Allen House. From locally grown, farm fresh produce, to pop-in-the-oven hors d’oeuvres, desserts, locally roasted coffee, honey, jams, hostess gifts, and more, you'll be able to pick up exactly what you need, at one easy location. There will even be a mobile knife sharpener on site, so cutlery is in tip-top shape for holiday carving. Many of the participating vendors are pre-order only. Participating vendors are marked on this page with a          Read their descriptions to find out which ones will be there in person, who requires pre-orders, and order cut-off dates.. You may want to order in advance just to make sure you get exactly what you want! The Allen Center is located at the historic Nathaniel Allen House, at the intersection of Cherry & Webster Streets. The address is 35 Webster Street. Parking and access to the market is in the Cherry Street parking lot!
