Beth's Chocolate

Newton resident Beth Kirsch trained in France as a Master Chocolatier at the Valrhona École du Grand Chocolat. She makes magnificent, award-winning chocolates in small batches with the highest quality French chocolate and fresh ingredients. Each piece is a work of art and tastes extraordinary. Beth offers contactless pickup for orders placed online, or will arrange time for shoppers to select their own chocolates.

Codman Community Farms

Located in Lincoln, Codman Community Farms does not deliver to Newton, but has a farm store, carrying their own meats, and eggs, all pasture-raised with organic feed. The store also sources local produce and products including milk, bread, cheese, yogurt, and specialty items. While you don't need to be a farm member to shop, membership is appreciated. Great news, too, if you're a night owl: the store is open 24x7, with 24 hour camera surveillance.

Indulge

This Newton Highlands' store is a destination spot for candy lovers of all ages. From jelly belly beans organized by flavor, to old-time favorites and chocolate truffles, this little store has a huge inventory of candies as well as gifts and cards. Curbside pick up is available and strict physical distancing is maintained in the store. Currently open Tues- Sat, 10 - 5.

The Icing on the Cake

Their cakes are pre-order only, but their cupcakes can be picked up on a whim, and they couldn't possibly be any better!

Bettina's Bakery

Bettina's is the newest bakery to open in Newton, and it's breakfast and lunch offerings, along with its made on premises baked goods have been a huge hit with those in Upper Falls as well as from other villages.

Galit's Treats

This Israeli bakery, located in Newton Centre, does it all--from challahs, to sweet treats and sandwiches, Galit's offers a full menu for online ordering with curbside pick up, in-store shopping, and even delivery. Galit's is making news for baking, donating and delivering hundreds of challahs to the homes of Newton & Needham seniors during the pandemic. August hours: 9-4 Monday-Friday and 9-2 on Saturday. Closed Sundays.

Little L

There's a reason for the long lines outside of Little L on Saturday mornings. This Japanese bakery offers a huge variey of savory baked goods along with sweet items that aren't overly sugary.

Tick Tock Chocolates

Local small batch artisanal chocolates sold seasonally at the Newton Farmers' Market. Off season, Tick Tock Chocolates can be purchased online or in their Belmont Store. FREE LOCAL DELIVERY for Newton, Watertown, Waltham, Belmont. Options for shipping and curbside pick up too.

Catherine Giunta

You may not know Catherine Giunta by name, but there's a good chance you may have admired some of this young chef's creative, jaw-dropping dessert creations on Instagram. By day Catherine's a pastry chef at Davio's; in her free time she works on custom orders for local clients. If you're looking for a novel treat for a special occasion reach out to Catherine by email: catgiuntapastry@gmail.com, and if you're lucky, she'll squeeze you into her packed schedule! Cookie prices vary from $1.25 for a basic petite 2" cookie to $7 for an x-large, elaborate 6"cookie.

Iggys' Bread

Oh boy. Doorstep delivery of Iggy's breads and baked goods to Newton is a dangerous thing; all that crusty, yeasty, goodness can be ordered on-line for next day delivery. (They also have ready made pizza shells.) Orders over $20 are delivered for free and Iggy's waives delivery charges for those 65+! Order before 8:30 am for next day delivery.

Rosenfeld's Bagels

What's more of a Newton institution than Rosenfeld's Bagels? This Newton Centre shop turns out some of the best bagels on the East Coast and they can be picked up curbside or delivered through UberEats, GrubHub, or, if ordered on their website, a local courier (But beware, this third option charges $15 for Newton delivery).
