Holiday Produce Boxes

For those who prefer fresh, grown-in-Massachusetts produce for Thanksgiving, Mass Food Delivery is delivering Holiday Produce Boxes to Newton, stuffed with fresh vegetables from Hadley MA’s Joe Czajkowski Farm. Boxes are $40 each and contain: 5 lbs of onions; 5 lbs of chef potatoes; 5 lbs of sweet potatoes; 2 lbs of carrots; and 1 butternut squash. Boxes can be picked up at The Newton Thanksgiving Market at the Allen Centre on Tues, Nov 22 for a reduced delivery fee, or dropped off on Newton doorsteps for $12.50. (SNAP/HIP shoppers get free doorstep delivery.) All Boxes must be ordered by November 17th. In addition to the boxes, Mass Food Delivery has lots of locally grown and raised food for home delivery. The Allen Centre pick up location is for the standard Holiday Produce Box only. Tap butternut squash for ordering instructions.

No appointments necessary, just bring your knives, drop them off, shop, tour the restored Allen House (yes, there is a bowling alley), and maybe even take in the Newton Art Association’s watercolor exhibit.
