With their long histories as pastry chefs, Bettina Scemama and partner Naun Rivera bake everything from scratch at Bettina's. Further setting this Upper Falls’ bakery apart is its multicultural menu. Bettina is originally from Germany, Naun is Honduran, and they both trained in the US. Their love of their backgrounds and childhood foods yields a different kind of bakery where German, Latino, and American tastes come together. For the holidays there are scratch-made cakes – Red Velvet, Chocolate Mousse, and Tres Leches—and festive holiday cookie trays.

New Women’s Clothing Store Holds Open House on Wednesday, December 13
New women’s clothing store, Soleamour, just opened on Lincoln Street in Newton Highlands and it’s already upping Newton’s style. Owner Stephanie Sipley hunts out items that are on-trend but not widespread, based on their wearability, function, and fabrication.
