Shortly after this West Newton wine bar opened to rave reviews, it confronted the realities of the COVID-19 crisis. For the time-being, Flora's cannot welcome customers inside for a meal, but it is still serving the Newton community by delivering groceries, wine and beer on Mondays and Fridays. Waltham-based craft brewery, Mighty Squirrel, has simple online ordering and contact-free curbside pickup. It offers a variety of IPAs, stouts, and German-style beers and is just a 15 minute drive from Newton.
Treehouse Brewing Co. is recognized as one of the top breweries in the world and is right here in Massachusetts. Its beer is only sold on-site at its Charlton brewery, and the long lines are legendary. Currently Treehouse is available seven days a week via curbside pickup, with a one case minimum. Place order online at 9:30 am SHARP. Their beers are so popular that they typically sell out within 10 minutes and must be picked up that day.
Trillium is another Massachusetts-based brewery with a world-wide reputation for excellence. You can order Trillium online and either pick it up at its Canton-based brewery or have it delivered to your doorstep. Trillium delivers to Newton on Fridays and orders must be placed between 9-1 on Thursdays. Minimum order for delivery is a case.
Local favorite, Vinodivino, remains open, providing no-contact doorstep delivery for minimum purchases of $35 and free delivery for orders $100+. Also offers curbside pick-up. Well-stocked with wines at a variety of price points, reordering favorites is easy, as this shop keeps a record of its members' past purchases.
